Asus all set to launch the ZenFone 3S Max in India at 12PM today

Asus will be launching yet another variant of the ZenFone 3 smartphone in India. Dubbed as the ZenFone 3S Max (ZC521TL), the handset will be announced via a live stream at 12PM.

Asus is still confusing with a variety of variants and this new one will be a slightly better version of the ZenFone 3 Max, not the 5.5-inch one but the 5.2-inch one. It features a 5.2-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). In the camera department, there is a 13MP sensor at the back with with an f/2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens and dual-LED flash. On the front there is an 8MP camera to take selfies.

The smartphone runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update with ZenUI 3.0 on top. The UI offers features like and multi-window mode, ZenMotion Touch Gesture, Bluelight filter, and more. The USP will yet again be the battery as it will come with a 5,000mAh unit which should easily last the whole day. Rest of the features include a front mounted fingerprint scanner while connectivity features include dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB with OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio.

Asus needs to price this well if it wants to compete with rivals like Xiaomi and Lenovo. The smartphone is expected to be available online as well as offline.
