Get ‘Killer Instinct 2’ & ‘Rayman Origins’ For Free On Xbox One Via ‘Games With Gold’

The Games with Gold program is still giving away free games to players everywhere. This time, it has invaded Xbox One and is offering two games for free — “Killer Instinct 2” and “Rayman Origins.”

The arrival of “Killer Instinct 2” and “Rayman Origins” on Games with Gold means that the free period for games “The Cave” and “Outlast” are now over. Those who have Gold membership on Xbox Live have the chance to get these games totally free of charge. However, it would only be for a limited time. Soon, the games will be back to their original prices and two games will likely take over. The said games will be available until February 15.

For fans of “Killer Instinct 2,” the game reportedly took contents from season 1 and expanded them. For this, developers added nine new fighters and three new game modes, according to Attack of the Fanboy. The new modes are Ranked Leagues, Shadow Lab and Combo Breaker Training.

Ranked Leagues in “Killer Instinct 2” allows players to track their online combat progress every month. Shadow Lab, on the other hand, lets the players train a “Shadow AI.” This AI can apparently fight for the player. Combo Breaker Training is as simple as the name suggests.

Apart from these new fighters and modes, “Killer Instinct 2” also contains alternate accessories and costumes for the characters. The classis SNES version is available, as well.

“The platforming legend returns with Rayman Origins! With over 60 levels ranging from high-definition platforming to musical ensembles to epic boss fights, Rayman will have his work cut out for him in rescuing the Teensies and saving the Glade. Luckily, he’s not alone, with a wide cast of playable characters from throughout the series,” the synopsis for “Rayman Origins” reads, according to MSPoweruser.
