Games developer, Respawn Entertainment, is now giving “Titan Fall 2” players the long-requested pilot only mode, which will reportedly be coming out in the game’s next big free update. The company also revealed that it will be releasing two new maps that will only be playable in that particular mode.

The brand new multiplayer mode that will be coming out for the highly popular first person shooter video game is called “Live Fire.” Within the mode, players will no longer have access to the large mecha exoskeletons and will only be fighting against each other using their pilots.

The mode was also revealed to be a six-on-six multiplayer game, which can be won by a team via a best of five ruling. There will also be no respawns during each round, with the rounds being won by either eliminating all opposing players or by possessing a flag at the end of each timed round.

The two new maps that will be included are called “Stacks” and “Meadows.” According to the developers, the brand new maps have been designed to have tight close quarter areas that have been intentionally built for fast-paced and intense close quarter combat. Aside from the new mode and maps, the upcoming free update will also include a brand new Coliseum map called “Columns.”

Additionally, the update will include several new Commander intros for each faction and a new pilot execution animation. The developers also mentioned that they will be bringing some changes to the playlist interface that will allow players to more easily choose the modes they want to be matched in. Whether or not the changes would be coming with the “Live Fire” update is still yet to be determined.

Here is a preview of the interface change:

“Live Fire” will be the second major update released for “Titan Fall 2.” The first major free update was released back in November last year, which reintroduced the “Angel City” map. Respawn Entertainment did not specify when the update would be released and only mentioned that it will be coming out “soon.”[ot-video][/ot-video]
