Samsung Galaxy S8 leaked in live images, Apps Edge interface and more seen

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone has reportedly leaked live images. The images not only show the smartphone from different angles but also give us a glimpse of the apps and other functions inside the device.

The leaked live shots, posted by a user called @Universelce on Twitter, shows the black colour variant of the smartphone. The alleged SamsungGalaxy S8 will be featuring front-facing camera, iris scanner and proximity/ambient light sensors on top, all placed inside the minimal top bezel. Also seen is the dual-edge display.

One of the leaked live shots show the complete front-facing panel with on-screen navigation buttons of Galaxy S8 (or the Galaxy S8+). The on-screen buttons were expected given the thin top and bottom bezels. The ‘Apps Edge’ interface is also seen on the display, something that is popular with the Galaxy Note series. Three windows of 10 apps each are seen. These will give quick access to important apps such as Contacts, Messages, Calculator, Gallery, Clock, Calendar and more.

The SIM card/microSD card slot will be placed on top according to the leaked images. The smartphone is also seen with Always-On display, which is used to take a quick glance at the notifications. At the bottom there is speaker, USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.


Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to make its ‘appearance’ at the forthcomimng Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain. According to a recent report on Korean Herald website, the South Korean giant will be showcasing the smartphone in a minute-long video. The aim is to keep the fans excited about the upcoming device.
