Samsung launches Gear S3 smartwatches with wireless charging

Samsung India launched the Samsung Gear S3, the third generation Smartwatch running on its Tizen-based wearable platform.

The Samsung Gear S3 boasts of IP68 water resistance with a four-day battery backup along with built-in speakers, GPS and a dedicated app store for apps. The company has launched two variants of the device, which are the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic.

The Gear S3 sports a 1.3-inch Circular Super AMOLED display with an effective resolution of 360×360 (278ppi). The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass SR+. The Smartwatch is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM and 4GB of in-built storage. You also get Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS for connectivity.
