UberEATS, Uber’s on-demand food delivery service to soon launch in India

UberEATS, the on-demand food delivery service by Uber is set to launch in India. The service will partner with best restaurants in your locality to deliver food to you. This started as a small pilot project in Los Angeles in 2014 and has grown rapidly over the years, increasing its market presence one city at a time. Now it has a stand-alone app and is currently functional in 58 cities all across the world.

Allen Peen, the Head of UberEATS fro Asia-Pacific region expressed his excitement by adding, “I am incredibly excited about bringing UberEATS to India. This is a significant investment, it spans multiple cities and areas, and it has the potential to change the food industry — with the push of a button — in one of the most vibrant food cultures in the world.” The company is inviting restaurants and delivery partners to the new service.

You can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store as the app is already online. There is no geographic restriction on the app, but you will have to wait for the services to launch in India. The login works on your existing Uber login details and ordering food is as easy as requesting for a ride, as detailed by the company in its announcement. One interesting thing to note is that the company is asking the public for suggestions and inputs as it works on launching in soon in India.
